What is silk fabric?
Silk fabric is a kind of high-end fabric, which is made of silk (including mulberry silk, tussah silk, castor silk, grooved silk, etc.) after spinning and processing. Technological requirements of silk fabric
1. Before fabric cutting
Due to the high shrinkage rate of silk fabric, the fabric must be pre shrunk before cutting. Otherwise, the size of the finished clothing will shrink and become smaller after washing, and the shape will change greatly, sometimes it can no longer be worn. When large-scale enterprises are in mass production, they must first go through two processes of steam pre shrinking and drying to treat the fabric before cutting, and then typesetting. When making small batches or single pieces, they need to be soaked, naturally dried, ironed and then typeset.
2. Sewing process
Machine sewing: Mulberry silk fabric has strict requirements for the machine used, and the pressure of the machine presser foot must be adjusted to the minimum. The tightness of the upper and lower threads must be moderate, and the stitches must be uniform and straight, and the needle code should not be too dense, and the stitches should be slightly larger. If there is one point fails to meet the requirements, the fabric at the suture will be wrinkled, scratched and not straight, which will affect the process quality.
Hand sewing: Due to the thin silk fabric, the requirements for hand sewing skills are very high, especially for high-end finished clothes, such as the hem and cuffs of clothes, which require that the stitches are not exposed on the back and front when hand sewing, so it is difficult to operate. The hand sewing process requirements of the reverse side of medium and low-grade clothes are lower, allowing smaller stitches to be seen.
3. Drawing
Because the fabric of mulberry silk is smooth and light, you must firstly find the direction of warp and weft in front of the phase board, and then fix the fabric on the cutting board with a clip or a pin. Secondly, you need to press the template drawing board, so as to prevent the fabric from being misaligned which will cause the tightening of the cutting pieces and affecting the shape of the garment.
4. Treatment of ironing process
The ironing process is carried out according to the procedure of ordinary shirts. Ironing method: when ironing silk fabrics, you should also avoid spraying water to avoid water stains that are difficult to remove. The temperature can be controlled at about 120 degrees. When ironing on the front, you must iron with cloth, otherwise there will be mercerized.

1. The clothing style is determined by the mome and different silk materials

How to maintain silk fabrics？
1. Washing
Real silk is woven from delicate protein health fiber, which is weakly acidic. It needs regular neutral detergent for cleaning with manual and gentle scrubbing, and cannot be washed by washing machine. It is better to soak for about 10 minutes before cleaning, and the water temperature is preferably 30 ℃.
2. Natural air drying
After washing, the silk can not be twisted and should not be dried. It should be kept away from light to avoid direct light. The best way is to spread it on the bath towel after washing, roll it up slowly to absorb most of the moisture, and then put it in a cool and ventilated place to dry naturally.
3. Dry and ventilated storage environment
